Thailande - Post 2

Bonjour tout le monde,

Un petit post rapide tant que j'ai un peu de connexion sur internet pour mettre quelques photos prises hier pendant une journée riche en évènements et en rencontres. Certains d'entre vous reconnaîtront certaines photos déjà postées hier sur mon site et sur Darqroom.

Journée riche en rencontre hier puisque je suis parti à la rencontre de 5 tribus : les Long Necks originaires de Birmanie, les Lahu originaires du Tibet, les Ahkas originaires aussi du Tibet, les Yaos originaires du Yunan dans le sud de la Chine et les palongs, originaires de Birmanie. Toutes ces tribus vivent ici dans les montagnes.

Puis balade ensuite dans un village où j'ai été reçu par un couple et son bébé de 2 mois et avec lesquels je suis resté à discuter pendant deux heures. J'ai toujours sur moi des photos de mes enfants mais aussi des endroits où je vis, et la découverte pour eux de photos de montagnes enneigées, de châteaux dans la montagne où juste d'un bateau a été vraiment super. Mais le meilleur moment a été lorsqu'ils ont vu une photo de mon fils Kimi devant les vagues de l'atlantique (photo prise à Bidart au Pays Basque au printemps dernier) et qu'ils m'ont expliqué qu'ils n'avaient jamais vu la mer et qu'ils ne savaient vraiment pas à quoi ça ressemblait. Je me suis alors souvenu que j'avais une petite vidéo sur mon téléphone de la méditerranée déchainée filmée à Sète en Octobre dernier et là ça a été un grand moment de bonheur. J'aurais voulu filmer leurs têtes lorsque je leur ai mis le film (puis remis, puis reremis, puis rereremis.....). Vraiment un super moment - Voici la vidéo :

Hi everybody

A quick post since I still have some internet here. Here are some more pictures from yesterday, I've had a great and rich day full of emotions and meetings. Some of you will recognize some pictures already posted on my website and on Darqroom

So I went to meet 5 tribes yesterday : the Long Neck originally from Burma, the Lahu originally from Tibet, the Akhas also originally from Tibet, the Yao originally from the Yunan province in the South of China, and the Palongs originally from Burma. All these tribes are leaving here in the mountains.

Then I walked to another village where I met a great couple and their 2 months old son. I could stay with them at their house for about 2 hours and it's been great to "talk" with them. But it really started to be interesting when I showed them pictures of my kids and pictures of places where I live. How nice when they saw mountains in the snow, castles or even just a boat. But it really started to be great when they saw a picture of my son Kimi in front of the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, picture I shot last spring in the southwest of France. Then they explained me that they had never seen the sea and it really was their first time. And then I rememebered that I had a small movie on my phone, movie I shot last october in Sète on the French Mediterranean coast when the sea was quiet strong and impressive. It has been such a great time looking at them starring at this video again and again. Here's the video :

Pas beaucoup d'enfants pendant cette journée hier mais beaucoup de costumes traditionnels et de visages magnifiques :
